This collection consists of 432 35mm color photographic slides taken by James W. Stuhler in Alaska during 1966 and from 1984 through 1985. The photographs were taken while Mr. Stuhler was working on the Defense Environmental Restoration Account to clean up the Aleutian Islands and other military sites, including some White Alice sites. Subjects of the slides include Caines Head on the Kenai Peninsula, Cold Bay, Dutch Harbor, Kaktovik, Kodiak, Nome, and Yakutat.
